This year's opening of school mass at St. Mary's Seminary falls on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Assumption on Aug 15.
Attached is the Communion Antiphon setting I composed.
I set the proper antiphon found in the Roman Missal, Third Edition for the Assumption of the BVM, with verses (traditionally) coming from the Magnificat.
The music for the antiphon is my own composition.
I set the Magnificat verses to one of Fr Samuel Weber's tones.
The text of the Magnificat comes from the Liturgy of the Hours, which - at the seminary - would be rather familiar to the students and priests in attendance.
